We are a small studio offering pottery classes to a wide range of students. We try our best to ensure that everybody enjoys their class by providing each student with enough work space and accommodating their project ideas. We do not like turning away students but sometimes we have to when classes are fully booked. To make sure that as many students as possible can enjoy a class at The Crafter’s Corner, we have implemented the following policy which helps us to plan our classes accordingly.
BOOKINGS
- Once-off classes & group bookings -
If you would like to book for yourself and/or a friend or family member, we will try our best to find available space during our regular time slots for classes. Please note that 50% deposit of the corresponding class fee need to be paid at least 72 hours prior to the class to secure your spot, unless otherwise arranged with us. The remaining 50% will be due on the day of your class. In case you decide during your class that you would like to carry on joining us, we are happy to convert this once-off session into the first package class. In this case, the balance (i.e. package price – already paid once-off session price) will still be due for payment before you proceed with the package.
If you would like to book for a group, it is unlikely to fit you into the regular time slots for our weekly classes. However, we are happy to find a day and time that suits both your group and us to have you at the studio. Please note that 50% deposit of the corresponding class fees needs to be paid at least 14 days prior to the class to secure the booking for your group. The remaining 50% will be due 24 hours before your class.
- Package classes -
Economy package (8 classes): Valid for 2 months from the date of purchase and can only be used by one person (i.e. no sharing with other people). The package price needs to be paid at least 24h before you start your package. We will negotiate with you a week day and time slot during our regular weekly classes for which we assume your attendance. Please also consult the cancellation/rescheduling section below.
Monthly pottery club: Monthly subscription and can only be used by one person (i.e. no sharing with other people). First rate has to be paid at least 24h before you start your subscription, following rates are due at least 24h before the next month cycle starts. A subscription does not have to start at the beginning of a calendar month; for example, if you want to start your subscription on 20. January, the end of the first month cycle would be 19. February, etc. We will negotiate with you a week day and time slot during our regular weekly classes for which we assume your attendance. Please also consult the cancellation/rescheduling section below.
CANCELLING OR RESCHEDULING
- Once-off classes & group bookings -
If you booked for yourself and/or a friend or family member, deposits are non-refundable in case you cancel less than 48 hours of the booked class. If you let us now at least 48 hours before your class that you cannot join, we will offer you to re-schedule the class without extra costs. Such a rescheduling is possible once under the above conditions. In case you don’t want to reschedule, we will refund your deposit with a R50 cancellation fee being deducted per person.
If you booked for a group, deposits are non-refundable in case you cancel less than 7 days of the booked class. If you let us now at least 7 days before your class that you cannot join, we will offer you to re-schedule the class without extra costs. Such a rescheduling is possible once under the above conditions. In case you don’t want to reschedule, we will refund your deposit with a R50 cancellation fee being deducted per person.
- Package classes -
We understand, life happens and that you might not be able to attend a class now and then. Therefore, we offer a rescheduling option as highlighted below as long as you notify us at least 48 hours beforehand.
Please note that a rescheduled class can only be taken on an alternative class day during the validity of your package. Further, while we will try our best to find an alternative time slot for the class you want to reschedule, rescheduling remains subject to available free spaces during alternative class times.
Economy package (8 classes): You can reschedule max. one class during the package.
Monthly pottery club: You can reschedule max. one class per monthly cycle. You can cancel your subscription anytime with 1 month in advance notice in written form.
